Konrad Wysocki ALLSTAR Starter!
Ulm to be represented well at ALL STAR DAY!
Earlier this week the Bundesliga announced this seasons ALL STAR starters as voted by fans leading up to Bundesliga All Star day January 19th 2008 at SAP Arena in Mannheim Germany. For ratiopharm Ulm's Konrad Wysocki, the All Star day will be double duty --- the Ulm energizer was the top vote getter for South team Small forwards and will be in the starting five for the All Star showcase AND Konrad will participate in the Bundesliga Slam Dunk contest too. Konrad collected 23% of the fans vote to top Frankfurt's Koko Archibong with 18% and Giessen's Rouven Roussler who tallied 13%.

ratiopharm Ulm's Konrad Wysocki is an All Star starter in 2008!
After moving into the starting lineup, Konrad has been in top form all season long in helping ratiopharm Ulm to a terrific 8-5 start to the 2007-2008 season. Averaging 13.3ppg 9.9reb (2nd in Bundesliga behind teammate Jeff Gibbs) and shooting 52% from the floor, Wysocki has been among the best young German players in the Bundesliga and opened eyes all over the country. While Konrad Wysocki has been voted into the starting five and will participate in the Slam Dunk contest, sharpshooter EJ Gallup will compete in the Bundesliga's three point shootout. Currently with 37 three pointers made, EJ is tied with Jena's Brendan Plavich atop three point makes after Jerome Coleman (38 threes) was released from Trier last week. Gallup will battle Plavich and Leverkusen's Brendan Winters (34 for 80 42%) in the three point contest at All Star day.

Wysocki has been voted an All Star starter and several other Ulm players received excellent support in fan voting. Ulm's Jeff Gibbs finished a close second to Frankfurts Derrick Allen in the South power forward voting. Gibbs collected 23.26% to finish percentage points behind Frankfurt's Derrick Allen who finished with 23.71%. At the point, Ulm's rising floor general Kyle Bailey took 15% of fan votes second behind Bamberg's Steffen Hamann who had 24%. In the post, Ulm's hardworking underrated post man Bryan Lucas received 16% of fan votes to finish second behind Bamberg's Darren Fenn with 20%. South All Star Head Coach Dirk Bauermann will nominate the All Star roster giving Gibbs, Lucas and Bailey a solid chance to land a spot in the midseason Showcase. Of the three, the most likely candidate could be Jeff Gibbs who represented ratiopharm Ulm as an All Star last season scores 14.1ppg and currently leads the Bundesliga in rebounding with 10.5 rebounds per game.
