Ulm product Christian Grosse returns to ratiopharm Ulm for his third season with his hometown team.  The outstanding young point guard prospect has demonstrated excellent development over his two seasons under Ulm head coach Mike Taylor.  Playing as a backup point guard in 2003-2004, Christian got his first taste of 2.Bundesliga play contributing to Ulm's 26-4 2.Bundesliga South runner up team.  In November 2003, Grosse enjoyed a tremendous US trip for Ulm playing extremely well against top colleges like Arizona State, Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine.  After earning a spot on the South team for the Bundesliga Rookie All Star game in Cologne Arena January 31st,2004, Christian continued his progress to the team with ratiopharm Ulm. For the year he shot 31.9% from three point land, 77% from the foul line and averaged 4.6ppg.  He showed signs of things to come in the last game of the 2003-2004 season with a season best 19pt 4 ast performance against Kaiserslautern April 24th, 2004.  In the game he went a perfect 4 for 4 from three point land.  Christian stayed hot right through the entire 2004-2005 season in Ulm leading the team with a sizzling 47% three point shooting percentage.  Grosse became an impact player for Ulm primarily as a shooting guard.  Although he started several games as the point guard, Christian averaged a solid 8.4ppg and starred in ratiopharm Ulm's big 76-64 road win over USC Heidelberg Febuary 27th, 2005 hitting a perfect 6 of 6 shots from the floor including 3 for 3 from three point range to spark the victory.  Grosse scored 7 straight points in a decisive fourth quarter run stepping up when his team needed him most.  Christian also went to work against MTV Kronberg scoring a season best 22pts with 6 reb and 5 ast making his first regular season start for ratiopharm Ulm Febuary 12th, 2005.  This summer, Christian and girlfriend Sarah Unseld enjoyed a magnificent US trip visiting New York City, Miami beach and beautiful Punxsutawney, PA spending time with Mike T and family.  A tremendous competitor, Christian brings intensity to the floor every second he plays.  An excellent player using ballscreens, Grosse can use his dribble to create for teammates or for his own shot.  Ever improving with experience, Grosse defends extremely well.  Look for Christian to increase his role within the team and make major strides this year focusing on point guard play and developing as a floor general.
