6:15pm tip

Sunday afternoon, ratiopharm Ulm visits one of the top teams from the Austrian Bundesliga as they face the Allianz Gmunden Swans in a preseason rematch.  September 6th, Gmunden handled ratiopharm Ulm 96-74 in Aalen Germany.  After a fantastic run winning Austrian championships in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009 along with Austrian Cup championships in 2003, 2004 and 2008, Gmunden made a coaching change as legendary Bob Gonnen moved onto Furstenfeld and was replaced by Matthias Fischer.  Superstar guard Deteri Mayes is back for the Swans and Gmunden is strengthened by the return of wing Ian Boylan.  After two strong seasons in the German Pro A, Dan Oppland looks to power the Swans inside game and solid Austrian players Peter Hutter and Mathias Mayer have been a big part of Swan success over the years.  Falling short of the Austrian title last season as they fell to Wels in the Finals, Gmunden looks to bounce back with another championship run this season.
