Thursday April 15th, 2010 VISION FOR THE FUTURE! ratiopharm Ulm presented the organizations vision for the future Wednesday night April 14th in a round table discussion held at Mercedes-Benz in Neu Ulm. In a discussion moderated by Hans-Uli Thierer, politicians, sponsors and guests shared views for the future of the organization and region as ground-breaking for the new Arena nears. SAP's Daniel Hopp explained the experiences the city of Mannheim through the process of their SAP Arena and outlined the benefits to the region. Hopp supported the Ulm/Neu Ulm Arena project speaking from experience with advice and positive views. Burgermeisters Gunter Czisch from Ulm and Gerd Hoelzel from Neu Ulm, whose efforts and teamwork helped bring the two cities together in the project, emphasized the exciting potential a new arena brings to the region while Herbert Fritz from Fritz & Macziol and Matthias Berz of SWU outlined the business side for current or potential sponsors. Hermann Weinhauser from the Architecture firm Max Boegl presented his companies plans for the new arena in Neu Ulm which will begin construction in May. ratiopharm Ulm GM Thomas Stoll informed the audience important facts and targets for the organization while head coach Mike Taylor joined the discussion adding dream goals to the vision. The exciting evening generated tremendous enthusiasm for the MultifunctionsArena in Neu Ulm while clearly defining a vision for the future of ratiopharm Ulm basketball.
