                   Head Coach Neu Ulm

ratiopharm Ulm welcomes Denmark native Jakob Moeller on board for the 2005-2006 season holding the dual role within the organization of Head coach for farm team Neu Ulm and assistant coach for the 2.Bundesliga South squad.  The 36yr old Dane has considerable experience coaching including stints with the Danish youth national team and Horsholm in Denmark's top league.  One of the players Moeller worked with while guiding the Danish youth teams was former Florida Gator and top European player Christian Dreier who currently plays for Spanish ACB power Real Madrid.  Interestingly enough, another player Moeller mentored was current ratiopharm Ulm point guard Martin Thuesen.  Specializing in developing young players, Moeller will have a major responsibility in working with young prospects like Benni Gulde, Antonis Sivorotka and other members of the Neu Ulm team.  His dual role position provides an excellent bridge between ratiopharm Ulm and farm team Neu Ulm.  A certified math teacher, Moeller is a basketball enthusiast and student of the game.  His addition allows ratiopharm Ulm head coach Mike Taylor to be more efficient with practice and drillwork.  Another benefit of Moeller's arrival is that the younger players receive more individual attention.  Moeller played junior college basketball in the USA near San Francisco and enjoyed several successful seasons playing in the Danish first league.  Off the floor, Moeller enjoys biking and reading.
