| New to ratiopharm Ulm's roster this
season is Antoine Sinclair, a talented and athletic forward
known as a winner throughout his basketball career. Born
in Lakenheathe, England while his father was in the Air Force,
Antoine holds a British passport despite growing up in Southern
Virginia. A 1st team division three All American at
Christopher Newport University, Antoine made a name for himself
with athletic shot blocking, strong rebounding and his sweet
left handed fadeaway. Very versatile on the basketball
floor, Sinclair is expected to play both forward spots for Ulm
this season. After leading CNU to 3 straight league
titles, Sinclair graduated and signed to play with the London
Towers of the British Basketball League but severe back injuries
cut his season short and Antoine returned to the USA to rehab.
Later, he tried a comeback playing in Ireland but the back
problems continued. After sitting out, Sinclair signed to
play in Ulm last season but decided to retire because of his
lingering back problems. Fortunately, after rehab and
rest, Antoine's back has healed enough for him to make a
comeback and finally land in Ulm. Since arriving, his game
has taken off. Adding a new dimension to Ulm's frontcourt,
expect the skilled Sinclair to add depth and versatility in his
first season with ratiopharm Ulm. Look for Antoine to
continually improve as he regains fitness and condition as well.
Antoine and his wife Leema were both outstanding athletes in
college --- Leema was a sprint champion and an excellent point
guard for the CNU women's basketball team. She is now a
successful lawyer in Virginia. A graduate of Hampton High,
Antoine was high school teammates with current Oakland Raider
wide receiver Ronald Curry. |
